Ihr Vater Sherif hat jedoch andere Pläne und drängt sie zu einem Studium. Als ihre gegensätzlichen Vorstellungen aufeinanderprallen, kommen verdrängte Verletzungen, Ängste und unausgesprochene Traumata ans Licht – und bringen die Familie an ihre Belastungsgrenze.
Valmira Hyseni is a producer, director, and screenwriter based in Prishtina, Kosovo. She holds degrees in Film Directing and Law from the University of Prishtina.
Valmira is the co-founder and CEO of Plan Bee Films, an emerging production company dedicated to developing bold and internationally oriented film projects. She also serves as a board member of the Producers’ Association of Kosovo.
With more than 15 years of experience in the film industry, she has produced numerous short films, feature films, and documentaries that have collectively screened at hundreds of international festivals, including Toronto International Film Festival, San Sebastián International Film Festival, Cairo International Film Festival, Torino Film Festival, Busan International Short Film Festival, and many others.
She is currently producing the feature film I Must Go Down by the Sea Again directed by Leart Rama, and overseeing the post-production of In a Manner of Speaking directed by Val Jashari. As a director and producer, she recently completed the short film Keep Going, which is currently on its festival circuit. She is also writing her debut feature film, To the Days We Have Left, supported by the Kosovo Cinematography Center for Script Development.
In addition, Valmira is producing Incognito, the second feature film by Zgjim Terziqi, and co-producing several international feature film projects.
