Born in 1991, Elisa studied Philosophy at the State University of Milan before earning a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Milan-Bicocca in 2016. While pursuing her doctoral studies, she also trained in Documentary Filmmaking at the Luchino Visconti Film School. A freelance filmmaker since 2020, she participated in several film residencies (among which Werner Herzog: Filming on a Strange Planet) and worked as a production assistant in Paris and Lugano. She directed Anaklia (2022, 34th São Paulo International Short Film Festival, Journées de Soleure, FEST Film Festival) and Les choses qui résistent à l'épreuve du temps (2023, VideoEx).

Maurizius Staerkle Drux studied film directing with a focus on sound at ZHdK (Zurich University of the Arts) and HSLU (Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts). He is co-founder of the production company Ensemble Film GmbH and has been a professor of documentary film at ZHdK since 2025.His award-winning films CONCRETE LOVE (2014) and THE ART OF SILENCE (2022) have been screened worldwide. In THOSE WHO HEAR THE SUN he connects his artistic work with the sensory world of his deaf community.

Jelena Vujović is a writer and director. After earning her Bachelor’s degree from the Zurich University of the Arts in 2020 and completing an exchange semester at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, she was selected for the Zurich Film Festival Academy, a talent program for emerging directors and producers.
Her diploma film BIĆEMO NAJBOLJI was nominated for the Swiss Film Award and has been screened and awarded internationally. Since 2022, she has worked as a writer and 2nd unit director on the 3rd and 4th seasons of the Swiss series TSCHUGGER.

Zoé Kugler is a freelance filmmaker, photographer and graphic designer based in Zurich, Switzerland. In 2025, she obtained her bachelor's degree in film from the Zurich University of the Arts. Her
graduation short film "buen vivir – ñutse cans-eye" was made during her exchange year at the University of the Arts in Guayaquil, Ecuador. In her work, she explores themes of social justice and climate activism.

Lou Aelvoet, born in 2004, grew up in Valais. After completing a preparatory year in the arts at EDHEA Geneva in 2024. She will complete the program in 2027, specializing in editing.

Valentin Sogan (born 2001, Switzerland) is a filmmaker based in Geneva. Since joining the Bachelor's program in Cinema at HEAD Genève in 2024, he has focused his practice on cinematography and image-making. He has directed and worked as cinematographer on several short films, including Fuji, selected for the 29th Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, HNEP, and L'aube (Dawn), shot on 16mm. Drawing equally from the sensibilities of fiction and documentary, his work is informed by an ongoing interest in memory, belonging, and inheritance.
