Insight into the filmmaker's stay in hospital, where she repeatedly experiences absurd, funny moments between pain, homesickness and disgust of her own body. Meanwhile, she tries to come to terms with the hospital's own procedures and hierarchies. An emotional trip through the long underground corridors of the hospital with lots of small talk and tubes.
Luisa Zürcher (*1998) is a filmmaker from St.Gallen, Switzerland. After studying Animation in Lucerne at the HSLU Design & Kunst she returned to her hometown to be an independent artist and filmmaker. She is interested in observing the absurdity of the everyday life, as well as processing personal events into humorous art.

Inspired by an anecdote from booming Tokyo in the 1980s, the film tells the glamorous story of the real estate shark Akio Kashiwagi. Akio's great passion is illegal gambling in the underworld. An American is on his trail and tries to track down stolen money. He realizes that he can only win it back at the gambling table. The master gambler Akio accepts the challenge.
Born in 1999. A Swiss-Turkish director, creative producer and animator based in Bern. He started to experiment with stop motion animation at a very young age and specialised in this field. After his first profession as a carpenter, he graduated with a Bachelor in Animation from HSLU (Lucerne School of Design, Film and Art) in 2021. With his graduation film DUDE (2021) he won the Bernese film prize and several awards during the festival tour. Besides his studies he had the chance to work on different stop motion projects for Cartoon Network & Adult Swim and directed a music video intro for Coldplay in 2024. He graduated from HSLU with a Master in Animation with his master film DOUBLE OR NOTHING (2025).

Jiani Fei (born 2002) grew up in the canton of Aargau and, after completing a preparatory year at the Schule für Gestaltung Basel, she went on to study animation at Lucerne School of Art, Film & Design, where she graduated in 2025 with her film “amigs hani angscht”. Her main interests lie in film directing and 3D animating.

Jon Brovina is a Kosovo-born filmmaker and founder of Brovina Films who has always been fascinated by the stories that exist just outside the spotlight. Influenced by history, folklore, animation, and a lifelong love of cinema, he creates character-driven films that blend emotional honesty with a sense of wonder. On a cold April morning in a small village beneath the mountains, Milena hurriedly packs what remains of her family’s life as distant echoes of war creep into her home. With her young son Jovche, she leaves behind a house filled with memories, children’s toys, and a fragile sense of normality. Walking through narrow streets crowded with silence, the encounter with the neighbors who look like shadows to her and Jovche’s friend Arben becomes a wordless goodbye to the life they once knew. At the bus station, marked by the scars of violence where bullet holes spell out the word “death”, Milena hesitates between the safety of the past and the uncertainty of what lies ahead. When the bus finally arrives, mother and son step into the unknown, carrying only what they could save — and the quiet hope that survival might still lead them to something better.
Flaka Kokolli is a Kosovar animator and filmmaker. She received her animation BA from Metropolitan University Budapest and has been active since 2013 with Anibar (International Animation Festival). In 2020, she established the studio Flammorum in Prishtina and co-founded Studio Pink-I. Her films Mardhe and Shpija screened internationally and won awards at DokuFest, Anibar, Tirana Film Festival, and earned a spot at Cannes’ Short Film Corner via ANNY: Animation Nights New York.
