Manual Of Self-Destruction

After noticing that an A.I. generative model modifies her self-portraits, imposing unattainable and unsolicited beauty standards, E. suspects these models may be nothing more than the sublimation of something already affecting humans. She engages in a conversation with DonnerBot, a chatbot that claims to offer a real cure for loneliness. DonnerBot introduces her to a self-help manual, which transports E. into a world rejecting the ugly, the imperfect, and perhaps thus everything that makes us humans.

Born in 1991, Elisa studied Philosophy at the State University of Milan before earning a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Milan-Bicocca in 2016.
