Ermal Gërdovci, born on the 25th of June 1995, is a film director and producer from Prishtinë, Kosova. He started his film career as a child actor, and during his teenage years, he took on small roles in production to learn more about filmmaking. This experience helped him learn many aspects of film production.
In 2018, Ermal co-founded Kandërr, a film house based in Prishtinë, where he has directed and produced several acclaimed and award-winning short films. His films have been presented at major film festivals including the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, Film Festival Cottbus, Reykjavik International Film Festival, DokuFest, London Short Film Festival, and many others.
