How Long Will You Stay?

In their short, Arnit Likaj and Jasmin Rai explore their feelings and thoughts about what it is like to be caught in between two cultures. They have a migrant background and do not feel like they completely belong in either Germany or their parents' home country.
In their short film they work with self-written and self-spoken texts in their native languages, while the production process in a potato farm is shown.
This short film is their first one.

Jasmin Singh Rai was born in India in 2001 and is studying Film & Media Arts at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences. She came to Germany shortly after her birth, where she attended primary and high school. In September 2020, she began studying Media Informatics with a focus on film at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences until the Film & Media Arts program came out in 2022 and she transferred to it.

Arnit Likaj was born in Bremen in 2003, studies Film & Media Arts at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences as well and is also active as an actor.
His parents are originally from Kosovo, as they had to flee to Germany at the end of the 90s because of the war. As a result, he grew up with Albanian culture, which makes up an important part of his identity, and can speak Albanian fluently. After graduating from high school in June 2022, he decided to study Film & Media Arts in Flensburg.
